Killeenfarna Uncle Joe, 13.3hh, 8 year old Purebred Connemara gelding is looking for his special rider. Joe is the ultimate package, he has the looks of a fairy-tail unicorn, a kind and obliging temperament with talent to burn in any discipline. Joe is a Connemara of exceptional pedigree. His sire, Celtic Samson, is a champion performance pony who has earned multiple titles across various Olympic disciplines. His dam, Glenormiston Fionnuala, is widely regarded as the “blue hen” of Australian Connemara breeding. Her offspring have become champion stallions, broodmares, and, above all, remarkable performance ponies. Joe’s siblings, including Glenormiston Bart, Glenormiston Buachail, Killeenfarna Taoiseach, Killeenfarna Milla, and Killeenfarna Fiddlers Green, have all excelled in their respective disciplines.

Joe has been a stallion for the past 8 years and has recently been gelded. His transition from entire to gelding has been a true testament to his temperament with no stallion characteristics evident. As a staliion, Joe has attended numerous jumping events and Agricultural shows. Joe has been based with young rider, since December 2024. During this time Joe has attended training days, showjumping competitions, dressage days and local Agricultural Shows. Joe has competed up to 95cm, jumping very confidently with lots of scope. He has also schooled over basic XC elements. Joe has a lovely natural head carriage with three beautiful paces and ridden in a snaffle bridle in all disciplines. Joe absolutely loves the river and can be ridden bare back in a halter.

Joe has excellent ground manners, is great to shoe, drench and catch. He is is good to float and will stand sensibly by himself at the float. He has no vices and is not herd bound. He is sensible around farm traffic, dogs and stock. Joe really enjoys the company of people and is a pleasure to have around. Joe has a good confirmation with good feet and has always been sound. Joe would be best suited to a rider who has enough experience to further educate a pony, to give him the best opportunity of reaching his full potential. With the right rider, I can see this pony having a very bright future. He will not be sold sight unseen, no trials or leases and please no time wasters.
