Elvie is a stunning 3-year-old filly sired by the renowned jumping stallion Calgary GNZ, and out of a lovely Contenda mare. Elvie has wonderful movement and cadence in her trot and has shown to have a natural carefulness and a fancy hind end when free schooled over a small fence. She has produced a lovely filly by Coolness R for me this season who I am retaining. She took first time to chilled semen and had a textbook birth. She is ready to be broken in once her foal has been weaned or alternatively could be put back in foal to Coolness R (Chilli Morning x Wimborne Constable) or Contendrodel R (Contendro 1 x Centadel). I expect Elvie to mature around 15.2/15.3hh.

 

Elvie’s sire Calgary GNZ, who is by the legendary Casall ASK, has produced numerous successful progeny in both showjumping and eventing disciplines.

 

Contenda, the sire of Elvie's dam, is also the sire of accomplished 4* eventer and FEI medium tour stallion, Wimborne Constable. Contenda is the son of the esteemed Contendro 1, who stands as one of the most prominent jumping sires of contemporary times. Contendro 1 is the sire of Michael Jung’s superstar FisherChipmunk who was the individual gold medallist at last year’s Paris Olympic Games.

 

This is a really sad sale of a quality mare who I had always intended to keep for myself. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I am having to sell quite a few of my youngsters.
