Handsome, educated 9yo dark bay TB gelding

Pepi (racing name Padura) is a handsome, affectionate, safe 9yo 16hh (unmeasured) dark bay TB gelding, suited to a confident, experienced rider looking for a dressage / adult riding club / all rounder mount.  Owned for past 3+ years by older amateur rider and kept in full work, having regular flatwork and jumping lessons with professional coaches, attending multiple clinics and enjoying regular trail rides (on own or with other horses).  He is good with traffic, machinery etc.

Pepi is well exposed - he has travelled extensively to different venues and behaves well with other horses in the warm up arena.  He self loads and travels well in angle load or straight load trucks/floats, and can be left tied up to truck/float at competitions.

Pepi will thrive in a home where variety is the spice of life and attention the name of the game!  He enjoys doing a bit of everything and loves being the star of your show.  He is willing, but doesn't pull - snaffle mouth for all disciplines.  He has competed Novice dressage, has three rhythmical and correct paces with floaty trot, is training Elementary and shows aptitude for higher level training.  He has competed up to 90cm showjumping and enjoys jumping but can be spooky with fillers and ditches.  Good to catch, shoe, worm, dentist (no sedation needed).

Pepi gets on well with his equine mates - he's been kept in shared paddocks or individual paddocks where there are other horses.  He's a very good doer (and could be mistaken for a warmblood).   He can be kept out all year but is also used to being stabled at night in winter.

Pepi has a fatty lump on his neck (scar tissue from an injury as a yearling) - this is cosmetic only, doesn't impact performance and disappears when he's ridden in a round outline.  Vet checks welcome.

This is a genuine sale of a talented horse necessitated only by his current owner's limitations.  Now with Nicky and Sam Lyle (Lyle Equestrian) to keep him in peak condition, Pepi is ready to slot into the life of a new rider who will take him forward and have fun with a new best mate!
