Sampson is very well behaved both under saddle and on the ground & has competed prelim/novice dressage, PC grade 2 dressage, grade 3 (80cm) CT, Interschools CT, PC Eventing grade 3 (80cm) with scores upto 72%.
Sampsons behaviour is the same out and about as it is at home. He is a no fuss easy-going pony with a very trainable temperament. He is good to ride out on the streets in traffic, he loves the bush and the beach. He is good to bring back in after a break and does not need to be worked down or lunged.
He has been ridden by a variety of riders from beginner level to more experienced. He has been used as a school horse as well as being a competition mount. He has been jumped up to 1m and ridden bareback.
He is good to catch, worm, float, shoe, clip etc and has no vices. He is currently in work, barefoot and is sadly offered for sale due to time restrictions.
Sampson is a much loved pony. Only the available to the best of homes.
Vet check welcome.
My daughter enjoys eventing and is currently keeping 3 horses in competitive work, having said that she has competed CT, SJ and HT Sampson’s first comp after a month off was Mentone where he placed 7th overall in the SJ and 3rd overall in dressage. Monash CT 80cm Sampson placed 1st. Interschools CT 80cm placing 2nd and Tintern HT 65cm placing 1st. He has qualified for Pony Club State Championships for the past 2 years. Sampson does need support to the jump which will guarantee him making every jump generally he very rarely knocks a rail. Sampson needs a rider that isn't afraid to send him forward in SJ, which he is very capable of. He's a gun out on cross country.
