Introduction: World View (Atlas) is an experienced and attractive gelding who has competed in eventing to 1*, novice dressage, hacking, and showjumping up to 1.15m. He has been a reliable and safe schoolmaster for his last two riders. Atlas is ideal for a rider seeking a no-fuss, kind horse for a variety of disciplines.

Bloodlines: Atlas is by Spinning World out of Atilla the Honey.

Education, skills and experience:  Atlas is a brave, willing and reliable horse. On the flat, he is well educated and collects willingly when ridden correctly. He is ridden in a rubber snaffle bit and is light and responsive. Atlas is a pleasure to ride on the flat - he doesn’t rush and he isn’t lazy.

Atlas has a forward walk, expressive trot and amazing canter. He has established shoulder in, leg  yields, simple changes and medium paces. Atlas is starting flying changes and half pass. He is quite handy in the show ring and does a lovely novice dressage test!

When eventing and showjumping, Atlas always aims to please and can get a little eager at the base of the jump! He is competitive up to 1*/ 115 showjumping and is brave enough to carry on, rather than stop. Atlas is tolerant of a ‘miss’ and a rider who lacks the perfect eye for a distance. He is ridden in a turtletop bit for jumping.

Atlas has ‘been there, done that’ - pony club, eventing,  dressage, showing, games, trail riding, the beach and the river - he absolutely loves water.

General demeanor under saddle: Atlas does not have any vices or quirks - other than that he thinks he is a mare - doesn’t like the girth pulled up quickly or too tight and pulls faces and gets huffy, if you let him.

Atlas doesn’t rear, bolt, buck or have any nasty habits. He is brave, does not spook and is not worried by farm life, trucks, tractors, mowers, cattle and dogs.

Current workload/ fitness: Atlas is ridden 2-3 times a week and is safe to hop on straight after a spell.

Handling and general behaviour: Atlas is easy to catch, saddle, groom, wash, travel (load, float, unload), shoe, and handle for dental care. Despite his ‘marey’ faces and indignation regarding ‘nonsense’ he is very safe and non-horsey mother proof!

Feeding and management: Atlas can be kept in a herd situation or with other horses over the fence. He is currently being fed Mitavite Breeda, barley, lupins and sunflower seeds, Khonkes Cell Vital and salt. Lucerne hay moring and night, as well as whilst being saddled / float/ outings.

Medical history: Atlas was a complete failure as a racehorse and only raced 11 times! However, this means that he didn’t sustain much wear and tear while racing or develop any racehorse habits. Atlas is sound and healthy.

Rider Suitability: Atlas has a heart of gold and will continue to thrive with someone who is a confident and balanced intermediate rider. While he doesn’t have any nasty vices or habits and he has had novices jumping 105 on him (who have previously only jumped 80cm!), he is a sensitive horse who does best when he trusts his rider and the rider is consistent, calm and kind.

Reason for sale:  Atlas is very sadly for sale because his rider has moved overseas.
